3 Semesters
I only have 3 semesters left to go at St. Kate's starting Monday. I'm fairly excited for this semester, and actually for all of my time left here, because I already know what classes I am taking, every last one until I graduate. I practically know what time of day I'm taking them. While I appreciate the sense of security that gives me, and the necessity of it, so I know I can complete all my major requirements, I sortof miss early on in my college life where it didn't matter what I took and I didn't really know until I registered what I'd be taking that semester, let alone the next semester. Of course, there were always some classes I knew I'd be taking, but there was till some excitement in choosing my classes when the time came, not a year in advance. Oh well, for the most part I like what I will be taking, and the only problem will be if some class times overlap. That is my only worry. So I guess the sense of security isn't complete yet, and there is still some excitment in registration. I have to take all the excitement in my life that I can get. Actually, my life has gotten slightly more exciting since the last time I wrote about it. I've gone bowling a couple of times with some friends (and Eric of course) which was nice. I'm glad I got to catch up with them, plus I love bowling, so it was great. I actually have pictures posted on facebook from the time I went with friends from high school, so if you want, check them out. I still have to add more that I will (hopefully soon) be getting from a friend who went with. Also exciting, Eric and I have been doing more wedding planning and have days planned in the next month to do some more things such as visit the florist and register for gifts. We also have been doing our NFP classes and will be finished with those on March 10th. It's going ok, sometimes it gets boring but we're halfway done at least.
I feel like most people having really been updating their blogs, which is partially why I haven't updated mine-I usually only do so if I check other people's, and since most people haven't been updating, I haven't been making a point to check them as often. Plus I'm just so busy lately (ha ha) watching tv and sitting around my room waiting for the semester to start, working in the evenings, that it just hasn't been a priority. Seriously though, it's nice to have a week or so to be back at school and get settled in again and thoroughly relax before the semester starts. I think by the time Monday comes around I will have completely broken any addiction or habit to watching tv and movies and computer games and will be able to focus completely on classes. Which is good, since I have all major classes, which I'm sure I've already mentioned before, in this post and others. In case I haven't mentioned it, the classes I will be taking are Philosophy of Psychology, Philosophy of Film, Modern Philosophy, and Christian Marriage (that's the one at St. Thomas with Eric). Except for Modern Philosophy, I think it will be a good semester. And that one should at least be interesting, but I hear it's really hard. I like the professor though, who I've had a couple times before, so I think that will help a lot.
And on one last note, I may be able to do my senior honors project (which counts as a four credit class and goes on my transcript) by running a marathon.
And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here
