Back to School

Well, I've been at school for 4 days now, classes don't actually start until next week but I have a week of really hard cross country practices before my really hard classes get added to even harder cross country practices! We have a new coach this year, which is both disappointing and interesting. He seems nice so far, but the workouts are already longer and harder, which is not that great when I think I put in less mileage over this summer than last summer. Add the fact that I'm having knee problems, I'm almost last on the team again because 8 or 9 people are gone (graduated or quit) and we only got 4 new runners, so we're down to 11, and we have to pay $35 for "gear and more nutritional food at meets and other things", I almost felt like quitting. But so far I'm sticking it out and I'm sure it will get better. We've only ran 3 days this week and I've already put in 19 miles-and that's the least of anyone on the team. I think it should be a good season though. We're running 1 less meet, which means an extra free weekend!

My roommate Megan moves in Friday. I'm really excited to live with her again this year-just the two of us in a double with a bathroom. It's going to be a good year. I have the normal 16 credits again this year, 4 classes. I still have to fit 2 credits of phy. ed. somewhere into the next 2 years. Hopefully at AR, so I don't have to pay $750 a credit for a dumb gym class. My classes this semester will hopefully be good, but hard. I have Classical Philosophy, an Honors Seminar entitled Holy Writ Rewrit (it's theology and literature), Global Search for Justice:Enviornmental Justice, and Classical Mythology. The last one is my fun class, since there weren't any classes that fit my majors that I was interested in or that fit my schedule or that I needed. I'm really glad I got a chance to take Mythology though; it's so interesting and I hear the prof. is great so I'm really looking forward to it!

One last thing before my song quote-does anybody know how to do a date countdown on AIM, or do I just need to change the day everyday?

It's Been Awhile

I know it's been forever since I lasted posted, but I've either been busy or lazy, depending on the day. I'm still busy, and kindof lazy, but I'll post. It will just be short. Mostly I wanted to say there are only 360 days until my wedding, and so much to do still! Eric and I have hardly done anything this summer, we're kindof slacking. I wish we were doing more wedding planning, I'm so excited to get started on it. Hopefully soon we'll start planning more, although I'll be back at school on Sunday for cc camp and then classes start after labor day, and he's busy with RA crap and then school as well...we'll see how things go once the semester starts- I hope we don't just ignore wedding planning and try to do it all over Christmas break and J-term, because we already have a list of things to start doing then and it would be nice to do some of it now. That's it for now, look for more after I'm back at school!

Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married
